During a practical seminar on catering management at the Hospitality Management Department of the National Taipei University of Business in 2024, AMOT Secretary-General Zhang Huanyun shared insights from his participation in the COP28 United Nations Climate Summit in Dubai in December 2023. He discussed various countries' approaches to addressing climate change and the current status of carbon footprint tracking. He urged students to pay more attention to personal food safety and choose traceable restaurants for dining, encouraging restaurants to use more food ingredients verified for safety to drive agricultural transformation. This initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions from food-related activities, thus mitigating climate change and further promoting the sustainability of the planet.
